Tara Graham

Since a very young age, I have always loved baking sweets for my family, and always said that one day, I would own my own sweet shop.  That day came true in August of 2006. 

During the time that I attended the University of Southern MS, I started decorating cakes as a hobby.  In 1995, I began a career in Medical Transcription which I continued for the next 15 years.  Because I was able to work at home, I continued to teach myself new techniques in cake decorating as a hobby and decorated many cakes for friends and family. In August 2006, I  left my job in medical transcription and opened Tara's Cakes. 

I truly feel blessed as Tara's Cakes has been featured in People Magazine, MTV My Super Sweet 16, South Mississippi Scene Magazine, The Knot, Signature Magazine, The Hattiesburg American, and WDAM News.  

People Magazine chose Tara's Cakes as the best wedding cake in Mississippi!

Hattiesburg American named Tara's Cakes as "Hattiesburg's Ace of Cakes".

Tara's Cakes was featured in South Mississippi Scene in the fall of 2007.

Tara's Cakes was chosen to do a cake for MTV's My super Sweet 16.
